A res league netball match took place on Saturday between two TUT residence teams, Sosh5 and TCE2. Sosh5 had an upper hand.

Leading the game with scoring 5-7 goals within the 1st quarter of the game. The first quarter of the match seemed to be quite challenging for TCE2 as they only managed to obtain 2-3 goals.

Sosh5 continued to lead the game against their opponent throughout the match, TCE2 tried their best to redeem themselves with 3 goals in the third quarter but unfortunately could not keep up with their opposing team. Sosh5 led the game to the last minute.

‘’This game was a bit intense that is what I have noticed. There were mistakes I think it’s one of the reasons why we need to go back to the drawing board in order to find ourselves, TCE is usually a great team, they have had great games before the recess and teaching practical’s,” explained TCE2 coach Nick Mabolo.

It seemed to be challenging for TCE2 during their second half their coach tried to give them encouragement and enthusiasm letting them know they could do better. During this time a player from Sosh5 encountered a minor injury which was attended to and she was able return to the field.

Thembelihle Mabala is one of the players for Sosh5 mentioned that she thought that the game would be tough but they played to their very full potential. They came full on in the first quarter by leading with 3 goals.

She added that overall it was a good game and they did everything they could to win the position.

According to Tshepo Ntshabaleng the netball coach of TUT Sosahnguve this was a good game as they managed to scout some players, they would like to take in to play for TUT netball next year.

Since TCE2 the game they believe that there's always a second chance to improve and do better.
